POST HELENE UPDATE

THE ONLINE RETAIL STORE IS OPEN!

I APPRECIATE YOU SUPPORT AND YOUR PATIENCE AS LEAD TIMES ON SHIPPING ORDERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND THE SELECTION OF COFFEE HAS BEEN SCALED BACK FOR THE TIME BEING. MY DOORS ARE OPEN BECAUSE OF YOUR SUPPORT, THANK YOU.

A NOTE TO THE DONORS WHO KEPT HIGH NOON’S DOORS OPEN:

It is hard enough to admit when you need help, but it can be even harder to find the right words to express the level of gratitude I have for those who just helped me put my life back together. A simple thank you doesn’t seem like enough to offer you. You helped to keep my business doors open. Let's just say that I’ve poured my absolute heart and soul into my little business, and all of a sudden it's become a critical piece of what is going to help keep this town alive while we rebuild. I don’t take that responsibility lightly nor do I underestimate my ability to make a difference here. There are many business that are gone but plenty more that want to reopen. I’m grateful that thanks to you I have the opportunity to be a part of the effort of bringing small businesses back here.

High Noon’s doors will reopen for online retail sometime in November. In the meantime, I’ve been able to donate coffee to first responders and help other roasters that lost their equipment. My time and skills were needed around town and I had the power of extreme gratitude to push me forward and encourage others. The trickle effect of generosity is unstoppable and incredible to watch in real time. Thank you.

We have a long road ahead of us, but the quick effort and the generosity of others like you have given us a fighting chance of pulling through. It’s incredible what you have done for me personally, and in effect, my community. Your generosity not only gave me a glimmer of hope in a very dark time, but motivated me to keep my boots to the ground and keep digging myself and others out of this mess. There were days of total destruction and too much grief to not break down...and then the overwhelming help started pouring into the city and into my own world as well. In a night I thought I lost everything and within three weeks I had been stabilized. I cannot explain to you what that means. I can now work on putting my life back together along with others.

Thank you.
